Zoe-perry
Perry was born in Chicago to the actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. She made her first appearances in television shows in the role of Jackie Harris, a character played by her mother in her role on the ABC show Roseanne. Her parents did not allow her to start acting by her parents until she reached an adulthood stage, because they were concerned about the strain it might result in. Perry was shy during high school and didn't act. She began acting in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends when she moved to the university from Boston University. Perry started her acting career with New York after graduation, getting small roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homesickness led to Perry come back to California and pursue a career as a stage actress. Perry was a part of the cast with her mother as part of The Other Place at Broadway at the end of 2013. In 2015 she performed alongside her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family. In 2017, Perry was a part-time character in ABC's political thriller Scandal which starred her father. The actress also portrayed her younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon, an CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. She got the part through an open audition despite being connected to the character.
